A WORD ABOUT SPACE AVAILABLE
What is the space available program?
Participation is only available to owners who are current with their MCHOA dues and are in good standing with the Association. Additionally, Mountain Club quarter share owners must release at least 5 days for Space Available use by others during their May 1-April 30 calendar year, and eighth share owners must release at least 3 days during the same period in order to be eligible for the program. Owners with delinquent assessments 60 days or more will have their Space Available privileges suspended until account is brought current.
Owners in good standing can reserve any size unoccupied unit in the Mountain Club during the weeks of the month they do not have use of their own unit. Owners may NOT use space available during their owner weeks. The Space Available Program is designed to accommodate owner needs for spontaneous travel. Reservations can be made no sooner than 48 hours in advance of arrival and only if the entire Mountain Club is projected to be less than 90% occupied. E-mail requests are preferred in order to ensure clear communications and reference documentation.
How much does it cost?
A cleaning fee is assessed per unit stay.
How do I participate?
Space available is a reciprocal program. Owners must make their units available for use by others registered in the space available program in order to be eligible.
How long can I stay?
Space available provides for a maximum stay of three consecutive days. If you wish to stay longer and space available is obtainable, you may move to another unit for up to an additional 3 days. Each move will move incurs another cleaning fee.
Can I use my own unit?
The MC board modified the space available policy to allow owners who qualify for Space Available to occupy their own unit but only if it is clean and vacant at the time of your arrival.
